Carlos Valderrama is furious at the role of James Rodriguez

Colombia football legend Carlos Valderrama is furious at the role of James Rodriguez at Real Madrid this season.

Rodriguez is considered as one of the biggest stars in Colombia right now. Expectations were that he would go on to become the next Valderrama. This certainly appeared to be the case when he made the € 80 million move to Real Madrid a few years ago. Since the move, he has become one of the most expensive players in the world. He has been playing alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale. For this reason, he was expected to become even better.

However, Rodriguez’ development at Real Madrid appears to have come to a halt in the last few months. The forward has been unable to make any impact in the team despite being in good form for the national team. Rodriguez has not been getting much game time under Zinedine Zidane. He is expected to be on the bench for the upcoming game against Barcelona. Valderrama is disappointed that Madrid are not giving him a fair chance. Under the regime of Carlo Ancelotti, Rodriguez contributed an astonishing 35 goals in just 46 games. Yet, he does not seem to find confidence in the new manager. Read more

Qatar may Win the World cup 2018

With the world cup coming up in 2022 being hosted in Qatar, it appears that Qatar is now gunning to win the World 2018 cup and is doing everything in their power to make sure they’re ready to achieve just a feat.

There’s a lot of scary competition however qualifying for the world cup in 2018. We have Russia who is pushing their boundaries and limits in Russia and then we have only 12 more nations that are left to quality for the world cup. The World Cup is only two years away and every team is anxious to win. Every team wants to not only qualify but leave the stadium as a victor.

The main problem comes with Daniel Carreno as he struggles with a very real problem. He needs to manage to make it past the third round if he wants to make it into the tournament and he’d be known as the very first person to make unreal history as the very first Qatari team to even play in football’s largest tournament. Qatari has not gone without any kind of scrutiny or doubt, as they face a lot of questions during their journey to not only the 2018 world cup but the 2022 cup which will be hosted right on their home turf. Ricardo Gareca’s future as the manager of the Peruvian national team looks bleak

Ricardo Gareca’s future as the manager of the Peruvian national team looks and out after several rumours have started about his impending departure following the recent defeats in the World Cup qualification games.

The national team suffered back-to-back defeats in the World Cup qualifying group. The bad run started with a 2-0 loss against Colombia and it was followed by a much more close encounter against Copa America champions Chile. Powered by the impressive Arsenal winger Alexis Sanchez, Chile secured a narrow 4-3 win. Yet, it has not been sufficient to prevent rumours about Gareca’s departure.

The Argentine was given the job only back in February and results have not been good enough since them. The latest losses puts the national team under a huge mountain as far as qualification to the World Cup is concerned. Peru are no longer regarded as one of the strong contenders from South America, but they would have been at least expecting to put up a fight. Antonio García Pye has confirmed that the manager will remain in charge of the national team despite these bad results. It will come as a major relief forGareca as he tries to turn around the situation. Read more

Carlos Valderrama says that James Rodriguez can be compared with Messi

Colombian legend Carlos Valderrama says that one of Real Madrid’s biggest signings, James Rodriguez, can be compared along with Lionel Messi and Neymar as amongst the best players in the world.

After a spectacular World Cup 2014, Rodriguez sealed a mega transfer to Real Madrid. He has become one of the most expensive players after having cost a reported £ 73 million. Unlike some of the big-money signings made by Madrid, Rodriguez has certainly proven to be a success despite not winning any major end of season honour in his first season at the club.

After having helped Colombia almost spring a surprise in the World Cup 2014, Rodriguez will be looking to do the same in the upcoming Copa America. Colombia head into the tournament as one of the underdogs. Argentina and Brazil are seen as the favourites, but the presence of Rodriguez is leadingValderrama to believe that Colombia will have a surprise or two in their bags. Still just 22 years of age, Rodriguez is expected to be the future of Colombian football. Strikers like Radamel Falcao have been on the wane in recent years and Rodriguez can take their position in the first-team according toValderrama. Read more

Carlos Valderrama is of the view that Radamel Falcao

Carlos Valderrama is of the view that Radamel Falcao will be Colombia’s trump card in Copa America.

Colombia had impressed everyone with their game in World Cup 12 months back and that’s why, there are expectations that they might go the distance in Copa America.

Colombia is not the favourite for the title by any means in the presence of teams like Brazil, Argentina, but, they are surely seen as the dark horse and if some of their key players click, they might be a tricky team to beat.

Apart from Falcao, James Rodriguez is another player who can test any defensive line up in the world.

Talking about Colombia’s form of late, they have been on the losing side just a couple of times out of the 20 games that they have played.

Their defence has been quite tight in every game and there has been enough potency in the offence as well. Read more

Valderrama believes allowing players of the squad to have sex is something that benefits team

In the previous edition of the World Cup, there was a high amount of squads that were prohibited from having sexual intercourse including: Mexico, Russia, Chile and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The players from the nations of Brazil and England on the other hand were allowed to do it.

Carlos Valderrama is a retired footballer who made over 100 appearances at the international stage for Colombia and represented his national side in 3 World Cups. Valderrama believes that allowing the players of the squad to have sex is something that benefits the entire team.

“If we had sex, sex at the World Cup, we would have been better. We would have relaxed after games, especially after losses. That’s total relaxation. Of course it’s better to have sex during the World Cup.”Valderrama said as he voiced his opinion concerning having sexual relations during the international competition.

Joechim Low allowed his German squad to engage in sexual intercourse and they were the nation that came out on top with the victory as Germany was crowned as the best team in the world after defeating Argentina in the finals.

The Spanish side was given permission to have sex during the 2014 World Cup and it seems like it was a bad decision as the team of Vicente del Bosque was one of the first nations to lose and be disqualified after only being able to win one match in the group stages but was defeated when facing off with Netherlands and Chile.
